Winter sports have their charm, not only on the prepared slopes of the ski resorts. The slopes and mountain peaks around the Lake Millstatt also offer the best conditions for ski touring. Whether beginner or advanced, suitable tours of every level of difficulty await you. In sunny Carinthia on the southeast side of the Alps there is a true paradise for ski touring. Climb to the summit of the nearby “Sportberg Goldeck”, explore the “Nockberge National Park” or dare a tour to one of the more challenging peaks. Accompanied by blue skies and rewarded with fabulous views, enjoy your excursion into the pristine winter landscape. Are you going on a ski tour for the first time, or do you simply feel safer with a professional by your side? We will gladly arrange a guide for you, who will introduce you to theory and practice and accompany you on your first steps. Of course, the duration of the tour will be adjusted to the ability of the participants and rental equipment is also available if needed.

The “Sportberg Goldeck” not only has a lot to offer for skiing lovers, but also ski touring enthusiasts. Put the skins on your skis, get into your bindings and off you go for fun in the deep snow-covered winter landscape around Lake Millstatt.

"Small Sun Round"
Starting point of this beautiful ski tour, which is perfect for beginners, is at the parking lot “Seetal” near the “Wieserhütte”. By car you can reach the parking lot in less than 45 minutes from the SEEGLÜCK HOTEL FORELLE. This tour goes up 320 meters on 5.4 kilometres, duration is about 2 hours.
Ski tour Goldeck from Seetal
Starting point with direct parking is again the parking lot “Seetal”, which you can reach by car in about 45 minutes. 2,5 kilometres with 216 meters goes this easy tour about 50 minutes up to the “Seetalock”.
Practice course
In addition, the skiing area has the “Millet Rise up Parcourse” to offer. Here you can learn ski touring from the beginning or just try it out to see if you like it. The course takes you up 2142 meters to the “Goldeck” summit. Informative boards with QR codes await you at every turn, teaching you helpful tips and tricks.

Ski tour to the “Peitlernock”
Already a bit more demanding is the tour up to the “Peitlernock”. By car you will arrive in about 40 minutes. The starting point is the “Innerkrems toll station”, directly on the “Nockalmstraße”. Icy streams and snow-covered trees make this tour a scenic highlight which can be completed in about 4 to 4.5 hours. 9.7 kilometres and about 750 meters distinguish this tour, which is especially popular with beginners.
